These days, as well as operating in an increasingly competitive marketplace, satisfying shareholders and keeping staff motivated, companies are also expected to be green and to support sustainability across all functions. ‘Doing the right thing’ means being aware of your impact on the environment, working to reduce your carbon footprint and supporting communities both locally and further afield.

At Roast & Ground, we can help you fulfil a number of these key Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) criteria. We believe in acting responsibly at all times so you can be assured that whenever you purchase anything from us, we have gone to great lengths to ensure it has only a positive impact on all the constituent parts it touches throughout its life.

  • Regular Carbon Emissions Audit – to keep our carbon emissions as low as possible.
  • Green couriers – our low emission vans for deliveries and services help reduce our carbon footprint.
  • Rainforest Alliance products – certification to ensure sustainable product growth.
  • Regular coffee grouts & packaging collections – to enable proper disposal and recycling.
  • Biodegradable packaging & disposables – a number of our cups and bags promote sustainability.
  • Recycled boxes – all our boxes are made from 80% recycled cardboard and are fully recyclable.
  • Energy efficiency – we recommend 13 amp coffee machines wherever possible to ensure low power consumption.
  • Local sourcing – most of our consumables are bought in the UK to restrict the number of air miles.
  • Organic products – Along with our Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance ranges, we offer a number of organic teas, coffees, chocolate and sugar products.
  • Fairtrade products – these products help support farming communities abroad.
