Introducing...

Lewis Wright
You may have already spoken to our new Operations Manager, Lewis Wright. Lewis comes from a background in the beer industry so you could say he went from hops to hoppers! Lewis is here for all machine tech issues, should you have any and organizes our skilled Barista engineers to fix and or install our amazing coffee machines we all know and love.

Karen Bruce
Speaking of installations, the lovely Karen Bruce has joined the team in a new Sales Support role. Karen assists with new machine enquiries, quotations and advising on the best machine for the task. Karen has over 24 years industry experience, (which is almost as much as our Joint MD Richard), so if it’s a premium bean-to-cup machine, a card payment system or anything else you’re after, look no further as Karen is here to guide you every step of the way.

Cat Seery
We are also delighted to welcome back our Customer Champion, Cat. She has had a lot of sleepless nights recently due to giving birth to her beautiful baby girl, Bonnie. But if it’s one thing that we know Cat loves is coffee, so she is thankful to be back in the office with all the coffee she can get her hands on to keep her going throughout the day. Cat is here to help you with your  consumables orders, keeping you up to date on new products and making sure you are happy with your drinks and our service.

Our Top Tips to Great Tasting Coffee

Fresh is best

Is your morning cup of coffee not giving you the kickstart you need? We have a great tip for you. Our beans are best used fresh and straight out of the bag, don’t leave them in the hopper for too long as they will lose their perkiness! After all, who likes a dull cup of coffee?! So, we know it's tempting but don’t overfill the coffee hopper. You should just fill the beans you need for the day. Remembering of course that the daily demand on your coffee machine may fluctuate far more these days. So most especially don’t overfill on a Friday, so you can have the freshest of beans ready to kick-start your Monday morning. Beans should be stored in a cool dark place.

Coffee machine cleaning

To keep your coffee machine in peak condition it needs a daily clean. No ifs or buts, daily is what it requires. You should follow the instructions on the machine, but most machines will require two processes; one for the coffee brewer and one for the milk. A thorough daily clean will reward you with the best tasting coffee, it will also minimise breakdowns and ensure your coffee machine has a long and productive life. What’s not to like :) You can read more about why your coffee machine cleaning needs plenty of elbow grease here https://www.roastandground.co.uk/blog/coffee-machine-cleaning-heres-why-it-needs-plenty-of-elbow-grease
