Coffee machine deep cleans
While all Roast & Ground’s bean-to-cup coffee machines have easy-to-operate cleaning programmes that keep things hygienic on a day-to-day basis, some busy work environments appreciate the reassurance of scheduled cleaning performed by our expert team.
That’s why we offer cleaning services at a pace to suit you – from daily cleans, to weekly, monthly or quarterly deep cleans, to keep your workplace coffee machine worthy of a five-star hygiene rating.
Coffee machines using fresh milk specially benefit from more careful attention as any slips can lead to machine faults and poor-tasting drinks.
We’ll thoroughly train and provide ongoing support to any team member you assign to machine cleaning (it’s all part of our basic service plan) however many companies agree it’s too important a task to leave solely to unqualified staff.
Regular scheduled cleaning and hygiene checks performed by a coffee machine professional bring peace of mind. Our experts will make sure your machine is thoroughly cleaned using the correct cleaning cycles and manufacturer-approved cleaning products leaving the machine sparkling and the drinks tasting their very best.
Outstanding customer service is what we do best so if you’d like more help with coffee machine cleaning, just give us a call to discuss your requirements.

Barista training
At Roast & Ground we offer coffee machines to suit all sorts of workplace and catering environments and have a fully-qualified barista on our team to liaise with customers about their coffee.
Your organisation’s need for barista training will depend on the machines you choose to rent, lease or buy.
A sophisticated bean-to-cup machine, such as those from Rex-Royal, Jura and Coffetek, is in effect your in-house barista because, once it has been calibrated to suit your coffee and milk choices, it allows anyone to make a full menu of speciality coffees at the touch of a button. In this case, our barista training checklist simply focuses on how to get the best out of the machine and keep it operating smoothly and hygienically day to day.
For our traditional espresso machines, the Wega Polaris and Urban, barista training covers all the key variables essential to good coffee: bean selection, the grind size, coffee dosage and brew times, use of the steam wand for steaming, frothing and texturising (including the preparation of non-dairy alternatives), and tips on perfecting your latte art skills. You’ll have a complete barista training checklist to refer to when you have a new member of your team to train, including an Opening/Closing checklist, grinder dose parameters and recipes for different drink types.
In line with our passion for quality coffee and our commitment to industry-leading customer service, whatever training your team require, we offer ongoing support via phone, email and video as part of our basic service plan. Sound great? Why not explore our finance solutions.

            PSSR tests
Pressure Systems Safety Regulations inspections or PSSR tests are a mandatory requirement for many insurance policies and are designed to prevent injuries in the workplace. They’re usually performed annually on commercial coffee machines that have steam boilers.
Roast & Ground engineers are fully qualified to perform these tests. They’ll thoroughly examine your machine, taking measurements and performing visual and functional tests. We’ll then supply your annual inspection certificate via our independent accreditation partner.
We offer this service at an additional charge because only certain models of coffee machine have steam boilers. If your machine uses fresh milk, it will likely require a pressure test, unless it produces Compact Foam.
Unsure? Give us a call – we’re happy to talk about it.
