Bean-to-cup coffee machine FAQs - your questions answered

Yes, bean-to-cup coffee machines make good fresh coffee. In fact, we would go further and say bean-to-cup coffee machines make delicious fresh coffee to fuel the day.

A good quality bean-to-cup coffee machine should last many years which is why they are popular as office coffee machines for businesses. Much will depend on whether you buy new or used, the brand and how well and how often it is serviced. As we sell only recommended brands and offer full service contracts for all machines, you can typically expect a productive life in excess of 5 years for your machine.

The best bean-to-cup coffee machine depends entirely on your needs. Roast & Ground stocks all leading brands including Rex- Royal, Coffetek and Jura. Each has an excellent reputation for reliability, value for money and being able to deliver consistent quality coffee day in day out.

Yes, bean-to-cup coffee machines can make true espresso. As long as you use good quality coffee beans, a machine is able to deliver delicious fresh espresso drinks as well as a multitude of other coffee types on demand.

A bean-to-cup coffee machine works by grinding the coffee beans and forcing hot water through the fresh grounds into a cup at high pressure to make the perfect espresso. This is the base for all speciality coffees.

Our coffee machine range and prices have been chosen to provide a suitable solution for most businesses. All the equipment can be made available to lease or buy, whilst some equipment is available on a short-term rental basis.

If you're a small business looking for a tank-fed machine serving no more than 50-60 coffees throughout the day, our coffee machine prices start from around £21 per week for a 5-year lease. This includes our maintenance and breakdown contract with expert support and regular restocking of all your consumables. For medium-sized businesses, expect prices starting from around £42 per week and scaling with your specific requirements. At Roast & Ground, with over 20 years of experience behind us, we know a one-size-fits-all solution rarely works for businesses. That's why we offer a variety of options to customise your coffee machine experience to perfectly match your business's unique needs and requirements.

We offer quality coffee machines in various sizes to ensure you have the brewing capacity to meet your needs. Consider the number of employees you have and how many coffees you typically serve per day to calculate your minimum drink requirement. You’ll also need to consider whether there are pinch points in the day when your coffee machine will need to work super hard and fast. If this is the case, you might also want to consider the speed of serve. Coffee quality expectations are another key consideration, fresh or granular milk, and of course not least budget. If you’re pushed for time, why not talk with our team to help you quickly identify the right coffee machine for your needs?

For additional functionality, you might want to customise your coffee machine with additional features, such as extra fridge space, a built-in steam wand for the option to create your own speciality drinks, or perhaps a payment system for commercial use. Roast & Ground also offer various accessories like cup warmers, cup dispensers, condiment storage units, and syrup modules for flavoured coffees.

When buying a commercial coffee machine, you should always opt for a comprehensive service and maintenance contract to ensure your machine is always running smoothly. This is charged separately to your machine lease and will include annual filter checks, hygiene, and routine onsite maintenance and repairs as standard. We can also supply further cleaning, sanitisation and restocking services at a pace that suits you – daily, weekly or monthly. For more information, discuss our maintenance, servicing, cleaning and restocking services with one of our team when you’re choosing your coffee machine.

Leasing is a great way to get a top-of-the-line coffee machine without the large upfront cost of purchasing one outright.

Our lease agreements are tailored to suit your company's unique needs. We can cater to businesses with multiple locations, ensuring that contracts scale seamlessly across your organisation.

If you have more than 50 staff and need more than 100 cups per day, weekly costs typically start from c.£42.50 including service, depending on the machine and your chosen features. For larger businesses that need up to 200 cups or more daily, prices generally start from c.£57 per week including service and preventative maintenance.

Yes, we include installation and setup within our coffee machine quotations. We understand that it can be difficult to see what exactly you are paying for so our quotations are fully transparent with a line-by-line detail of what’s included.

As part of our comprehensive onboarding process, we will help you choose the best location for your coffee machine to ensure that it perfectly fits your space and provide you with guidance on the necessary power and water requirements.

To ensure the drinks are customised to your preferences, we'll programme the machine according to your specific requirements when it is being bench-tested in our warehouse. Our expert engineers will then install and set up the machine, demonstrating how to use, clean, and maintain it for optimal performance and consistent beverage quality.
